(Vea abajo para español) While we can’t yet know everything about what to expect when the new school year starts in August, the transition to kindergarten is one we can begin to anticipate and help our children prepare for. With the help of a kinder teacher and some “veteran” parents, we’ll talk about things like bedtimes and routines, and also about what it means to be an "engaged” parent.

NOTE: the district plans to offer more nuts-and-bolts information about what kindergarten will look like this summer, so stay tuned! We’ll be sure to add that program to the PEN calendar once it’s scheduled.

Si bien todavía no podemos saber todo sobre qué esperar cuando comience el nuevo año escolar en agosto, la transición al jardín de infantes es una que podemos comenzar a anticipar y para ayudar a nuestros hijos a prepararse. Con la ayuda de un maestro de kindergarten y algunos padres "veteranos", hablaremos sobre cosas como la hora de dormir y las rutinas, y también sobre lo que significa ser un padre "comprometido".

NOTA: el distrito planea ofrecer más información básica sobre cómo se verá el jardín de infantes este verano, ¡así que estad atentos! Nos aseguraremos de agregar ese programa al calendario PEN una vez que esté programado.
