One of the first things teachers will be doing as they get to know your student these next few weeks is to assess where each student is in terms of what they were able to learn last spring during emergency remote learning, and where they may need additional instruction. Because these assessments will take place remotely, it’s important that parents understand how teachers will be assessing your child and how to ensure that you support your child’s participation without giving teachers an inaccurate picture of what your child is able to do independently. Tune in to PUSD’s Virtual Parent University Workshop: Giving Student Assessments at Home, Grades K-2 - Discovering Unfinished Learning Using i-Ready. Presented by Curriculum Associates, Wednesday, August 19, 6:00 pm. For details and to participate, please visit the Family Engagement Canvas Page
