The Black History Living Museum, presented by the PUSD African American Parent Council (AAPC) in lieu of its regular monthly meeting, is a collection of visual displays where students, dressed as famous individuals, stand at attention, while visitors walk around and tour exhibits illustrating the life of the person and/ or group represented. More information here.
The African American Parent Council (AAPC) is a coalition of parents, students, schools, and communities that honors and embraces the identity and experiences of PUSD’s African-American families, advocates for the cultural acceptance of all, and mobilizes and engages all stakeholders to transform the system to ensure a high quality education for every student. The AAPC meets at the district level monthly, typically on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm.
