One of PEN’s core beliefs is that parent and community engagement is essential to building strong schools so all children can reach their potential. During the 2010-2011 school year, PUSD completed a strategic plan. PEN participated in this process, and was instrumental in the district’s decision to include parent engagement as one of the priorities.
Since parent engagement has a direct impact on student academic success, we encourage all parents to get involved with their school community and/or the district. Get the information you need to get involved through our Parents As Leaders training , resources, and when they connect with other parents.
Another way parents can get involved is by participating in the PUSD’s Parent Advisory Groups.

The Board of Education typically meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the 2nd floor Board Room at 351 S. Hudson Avenue, Pasadena. Each Board Member oversees specific district schools. You can contact Board members with questions and concerns, issues related to the schools they oversee, or if you’d just like to get to know them.
