Find Your School

Finding the right school for your family can be an exciting and sometimes overwhelming process. Every child and every family is unique; you all have your own values, needs, strengths, and priorities. So, as much as you might want to rely on your friends for advice, one school isn’t the right school for everyone. But, you’re not alone! PEN recommends you start here:

Locate your neighborhood school
To find your assigned neighborhood school, use the PUSD School Locator* or view PUSD’s district-wide attendance zone maps for elementary school [updated 12/7/2010] and middle schools.

Gather information about other PUSD schools
PEN's Fact Sheets are a great way to get accurate, current information about PUSD's elementary and middle schools, all in one easy-to-read format. Scroll down and click on the name of your neighborhood school and other elementary or middle schools you wish to learn about.

Attend PEN’s Parent Education Programs
You’ll gain valuable insight and meet other parents when you attend any of our Programs for Parents.

Sign up for a school tour
Visit PEN’s tour calendar to sign up for one or more school tours

Contact a Parent
PEN Parent Ambassadors are PEN members whose children attend schools throughout PUSD. They volunteer their time to be a resource for parents to learn more about their schools, accompany school tours, and connect parents with other parents and their school community. Contact a PEN Parent Ambassador.

Enroll in a school
If you decide to enroll in your neighborhood school, you’ll register directly at that school. If you want to submit an application to attend a school other than your assigned neighborhood school, visit PEN’s Open Enrollment page for more information.

SCHOOL FACT SHEETS

PEN's Fact Sheets provide accurate, data and program information about PUSD's elementary and middle schools, updated every Fall, all in one place. Scroll down and click on the name of your neighborhood school and other elementary or middle schools you wish to learn about.

What's a charter school?

Charter schools receive their money and 'charter' from a school district but operate as independent schools in most other respects. PEN provides information and resources to parents for all of the elementary schools in PUSD. We recommend that as with all schools, parents educate themselves about their options. We have provided links to any charter schools in our community so that parents can find this information directly.
